WELCOME TO THE NETWORK OF MYANMAR AMERICAN ASSOCIATION
The Network of Myanmar American Association (NetMAA) is a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization operating under the provision of Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S Internal Revenue Code (IRS) a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, and all donations to the NetMAA are tax-deductible in accordance with IRS regulations.
Mission:
The Network of Myanmar American Association (NetMAA) is dedicated to promote the networking among Myanmar Americans (Bama and all ethnic groups) so that we become a more cohesive and civically active community.
GOALS:
· To maintain and promote Myanmar arts, culture, news media, Myanmar films and music.
· To educate the Myanmar community about our rich cultural heritage and build bridges of friendships with other diverse communities.
· To maintain networks of communication and cooperation between NetMAA and other organizations in the Myanmar American community as well as with organizations representing other racial and ethnic communities.
· To support social issues affecting Myanmar communities.
Who We Are?
Founded in early 2006, the Network of Myanmar American Association (NetMAA) is a non-partisan, non-political, and non-profit organization. NetMAA is NOT involved in any political or religious issues. The NetMAA does extend its membership and activities to everyone regardless of race, ethnicity or religion. We look forward to the effective unification of all Myanmar-American associations and the empowerment of our vast Myanmar-American community. It is time that we act as "One Voice” in order to preserve and promote our culture and progress of the present and future generations of Myanmar-Americans.
How Can I Join NetMAA or Get Involved?
In many ways!! You can help NetMAA by donating your time, knowledge and resources. You can also join NetMAA as a member. We invite all Myanmar peoples to become members of the NetMAA. How Is NetMAA Funded?
NetMAA is funded through membership fees, donations, grants and sponsorship from individuals and companies. We also have several fund-raising events each year, such as: Myanmar Film and Music Festival, Myanmar New Year, Chinese Lunar New Year, Cultural Day and Special Events.
Does NetMAA Have Any Political Affiliations?
NetMAA is non-partisan; we do not endorse any governmental activities, political parties, or political personalities.
